Chinese Walmart

This post is for my Dad. He did not get to see our Chinese Walmart on his trip her last December. It opened up during this past summer. A few months ago he sent me an e-mail titled 16 Items They Only Sell At Chinese Walmarts. I wanted to see if the article was true.

 

We loaded up. Meaning I strapped Aubrey to me and Brynn got in the stroller. We have our reusable bags ready. They do not give free bags at Walmart you must purchase them or bring your own. I have to be strategic about what I am going to buy, since I have to haul it back on our ten minute walk.

 Here we are all ready with our buggy. Brynn loves Walmart, because they hand out balloons to kids at the front. The nice lady at the front also lets me leave my stroller there.

 It is hard to see, but in the back are a bunch of massage reclines for sale. There are all occupies with elderly Chinese. I think they come to Walmart to just enjoy the free massage.

Now down the escalator to the food department. The is where things get interesting.The shopping carts here have stoppers on the wheels that keep the cart from flying down the escalator. Brynn would enjoy that, but I think for safety reasons the stoppers are important.

 Duck. Which is # 13 on the list.

Frozen Pig Feet right by the chicken breast...no thank you. Only in China will you here a mom say, please don't touch the pig feet (which are right at toddler level from the back of the shopping cart)

Brynn thinks Walmart is also a giant aquarium. She always asks to look at the fish. If you want one you grab the net and go for it. It is not unusual to see fish flopping on the floor.

 The crazy egg selection. You may notice they are not refridgerated in China. 

Bulk Rice. #2 on the list

Check our the varieties on Soy Sauce. 

Other Items on the List.

#1 Crocidiles-None in our Walmart, but I am sure they are in other areas.

#2 Bulk Rice- YES

#3 Mixed Meat- YES

#4 Orange Juice and Cooking Oil- I did not see this, but it would not suprise me if they had them in other Walmarts

#5  Turtles- YES

#6 ??- YES, there are many things we see and are not sure what in the world they are

#7 Walmart brand spirits-Did not check to see

#8 Ribcages- YES

#9 Assorted Dry Reptiles-Did not find, but there are tons of assorted dry meats and such

#10 Boxes of Liquor- YES

#11 Frogs- Did not see, but have seen them for sale other place (markets)

#12 Large Selection of Chopsticks- YES

#13 Ducks- YES

#14 Great Value Beef Granules- Did not look, but I am sure they do

#15 Pig Faces- I try to avoid the meat section, but I am sure they do

#16 Antibacterial Men's Underwear- I did not check that out, but will send Matt to do so soon

 

Heading back up the escalator to go home :)
